Local Control and Accountability

The Whitehall School district will post our academic and career plan on the district website with links to important resources. The ACP will be updated yearly with professional development being provided to staff on a consistent basis throughout the academic year.

We offer instruction and experience in business/marketing, industrial technology/construction, robotics, computer science, family and consumer sciences/ health science, and agricultural science
Trempealeau Valley Co-op 2.0 provides capstone courses in these program areas
Youth apprenticeships, Industry-based Credentials, work experience, and skill certificates
Transcripted and/or articulated credit offered in most, if not all, of these areas
Future concepts include local adult training and retraining in industry-based areas

How will we meet education for employment program requirements?

The Whitehall School District meets the Education for Employment Standards through the following initiatives:

Participation in CESA E4E Council
Opportunities for students in Advanced Placement, advanced standing career awareness, career planning and preparation, transcripted credit and post-secondary credit options.
Career Development components offered to students K-12.
Pupil transcripts contain proper documentation to identify advanced standing, transcripted credits, advanced placement and the participating institution for easy transition to postsecondary education.
Opportunities in Tech Prep, Youth Options, and Youth Apprenticeship as well as other work-based learning experiences are available to all district students
Training opportunities in Career and Technical Education courses (Agriculture, Business and Marketing, Family and Consumer Sciences, Health Sciences, and Technology Education
Instruction in employability skills, work behaviors, practical application of academic skills, and applied technologies.
